Raegan Carter

Raegan Carter with Smoke Free East Baton Rouge chats with Jim about the organization's new campaign to protect employees, musicians and entertainers in bars and casinos from secondhand smoke. Carter says this is the perfect time to make the push for a smoking ban in these establishments with a new mayor and council. 

Josh Bernstein

TV host and spokesperson for the Association of Mature American Citizens Josh Bernstein joins the conversation to comment on Jacob Schwartz, a Democratic DeBlasio employee who has been arrested on charges of possession of child pornography. Bernstein says this type of behavior seems to be more prevalent in the Democratic party.

Hillar Moore

East Baton Rouge Parish District Attorney Hillar Moore joins Jim in studio to discuss his recent trip to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba to witness the trials of those in connection with the 9/11 attack. Moore also comments on the video released of a fight in Tigerland and the future of the Alton Sterling case. He also mentions the fatal shooting of 18-year-old McKinley High School quarterback Bryant Lee.

The District Attorney joins the show to give an update on the incident that occurred Saturday, resulting in the death of EBR Sgt. Shawn Anderson.

Rev. Gene Mills

President of the Louisiana Family Forum joins the show to talk about the effects a lack of a nuclear family has on crimes.  Mills feels that the reasoning behind many crimes is the lack or hate for fathers, and he addresses what can help these situations. Mills also talks about the programs he and the Gov. have been working on to help prison reform.

Jeff Marx

Jeffrey Marx is an author and organ donor advocate.  Marx joins the show to talk about Jarrius "Little JJ" Robertson's need for a liver transplant.  Marx and Little JJ will be at Walk Ons on Burbank at 6pm to give out Little JJ Robertson's 'cards for a cause.' This event is free.

HOUR TWO

Suzie Terrell

The first and only Republican woman elected to statewide office in Louisiana. Terrell joins the show to talk about Donald Trump and his tax returns.  She feels that it has never been required, though some previously have released similar documents.

John Wirt

John Wirt joins the show to talk about Chuck Berry.  One of the founding fathers of rock 'n roll, Berry passed away at 90 years old on March 18th. Wirt talks about Berry's run with the law and listens to Berry's "Roll Over Beethoven."

Mary Patricia Wray is the former Director of Communications for Governor John Bel Edwards.  She is also the owner of Top Drawer Strategies.  She comments today on Governor Edwards transition and his first political disappointment as his House Speaker choice was not elected.  "He is extremely focused on work all the time... but he doesn't stop learning and growing," Wray says of Edwards. 

Michelle Southern

Michelle Southern is the Assistant News Director and a Producer at Louisiana Radio Network.  She gives her opinion on former LSU football coach Nick Saban.  "It's like when your husband leaves you for your best friend, who becomes a supermodel," Southern says.

Hillar Moore 

Hillar Moore is the District Attorney for Baton Rouge.  He comments on rising crime in the area in and around LSU.  "The lack of education... has a lot to do with where we are," Moore says on crime.  He also asserts that "Faith based organizations do play a significant part," in crime prevention.
