Chuck Collins

Born into the one percent, Collins gave away his inheritance at 26 years old and Collins calls for a ceasefire and invites the wealthy to come back home, investing themselves and their wealth in struggling communities.  And he asks the non-wealthy to build alliances with the one percent and others at the top of the wealth ladder.

LA Secretary of State joins the show to talk about the Senate race voting and voter registration.  For actually going out and voting, residents will receive a George Rodrigue Blue Dog sticker that says, "I Voted."

Stephanie Grace of The Advocate talks about Jefferson Parish President, Mike Yenni.  An attorney in Metairie has filed a petition to recall the President. This comes after Yenni admitted to sending improper text messages to a 17-year-old boy. Grace talks about the incident and the effect it will have on his career as well as personal life.

Rob Maness

Senate candidates' legal attempt to force LPB and the Council for a Better Louisiana to include more candidates in next week’s Senate debate gets a hearing today in a Baton Rouge courtroom.  Col. Rob Maness is one of the Senate candidates who were not invited to the debate because he did not meet qualifications.

Author Kevin Smokler called in to talk about his book"Brat Pack America." The book describes 80s teen movies and the importance of the setting and location in these movies. Smokler has a written other works and his writings have appeared on the likes of the LA Times, Buzzfeed, Vulture and more. 

Dr. Katara Williams and Mike Edmondson 

The executive director of Louisiana Highway Safety Commission and the superintendent of Louisiana State Police stopped by to talk the safety of Louisiana drivers and give some insight on Alton Sterling. Colonel Edmondson has held his position of superintendent since 2008. Dr. Katara was recently named head of Louisiana Highway Safety under Gov. John Bel Edwards.

David Duke

David Duke stopped by talk about his race for the Senate, why he backs Donald Trump in the presidential election and his take on other controversial topics.

Gene Mills

The President of LA Family Forum wrote a letter to the Editor in the Baton Rouge Advocate about extending redemption to those incarcerated in Louisiana.  Mills joins the show to talk about the recidivism rates, victims in the criminal justice system, and reintegration into society.

Carolyn Hill

Democrat Carolyn Hill has teamed up with Republican Woody Jenkins in a non-partisan approach to encourage all to exercise their right to vote.  Hill joins the show to talk about what evoked this cooperation between the two parties.

Handwerk is the Executive Director of the LA Democratic Party. Stephen talks about the presidential debate Sunday, October 9.  Handwerk analyzes Trump and Hillary's remarks and makes predictions for the election.

Executive director of sports operations for SSG Sports, Munson talks with Stephanie about LSU and Florida's now cancelled game.  He feels that Baton Rouge could have the potential to become the hub of sports businesses because of the amount of athletes that come from the south.

Darryl Gissel

Darryl Gissel is running for Mayor of Baton Rouge.  Gissel joins the show to explain that running as an independent will help people of the community to move past party affiliations and help Baton Rouge break away from the status quo.

Jan Kasofsky & Rob Nocska

Dr. Jan Kasofsky and her colleague John Nosacka join the show to give a mental health advice for those affected by the flooding in South Louisiana.  Kasofsky and Nosacka introduce a FEMA funded program for those in need of help for wellness and coping.

Two EBR Parish Library representatives stopped by to talk about the Baton Rouge Mini Maker Faire that the library is hosting. The faire is a chance for makers to come and showcase their work. MythBusters star Jamie Hyneman  will be in attendance at the event. 

Ruth Anne Garlock and Janice Miller

The two ladies stopped by to promote the Warring Women Freedom Fest Featuring Johnathan Butler that will be happening in St. Francisville. The event will start on Friday, October 7 and end on Saturday, October 8.

Jane Leavy

Jane Leavy is an award-winning sportswriter and a feature writer for the Washington Post. Her work includes the comic novel "Squeeze Play' and the 2005 biography on pitcher Sandy Koufax.  Today was the 50th anniversary of Koufax pitching his last game and losing to fellow Hall Of Famer Jim Palmer. 

Jason Dore

The Executive Director of the LAGOP returned to the show to talk about the 2016 Senate and presidential election. He talks Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump and his take on the Charles Boustany and John Kennedy feud.

HOUR ONE

Jimmy Frederick

Jimmy Frederick is the Communications Dir. at the Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana.  Frederick joins the show to promote the senatorial debate CRCL is holding for six of the Louisiana Senate candidates.

Jonathan Butler

The youngest of 13 children, Butler grew up in Cape Town, South Africa, ruled by Apartheid and segregation. He made history by being the first black artist played on white South African radio while earning three gold records. Butler will be performing in St. Francisville, LA on Friday, October 7.

Jeff Palermo Joins the show in one segment to talk about Mike the Tiger and the LSU vs. Florida game.  LSU is on the hunt for a new tiger mascot; Mike's cancer has spread and veterinarians have predicted he will only live for 1-2 more months.  LSU vs. Florida game will still go on in Gainesville, Florida though the time of the game is still undecided.

 John Cooksey is a Representative from Louisiana born in Alexandria, Rapides Parish.  Cooksey is joined by former Sec. of State and Insurance Commissioner, Jim Brown, to discuss candidates and debates in state and national elections.
