Terry Burhans is a former weatherman and joined our guest host Leo Honeycutt, to talk about his life, his connection to Leo and his performance that will be happening at Phil Brady's Bar & Grill. His performance takes place tonight- located on Government street. 

Patrick Mulhearn

 

Patrick Mulhearn is the executive director Celtic Studios and recently announced that he will be stepping down from his position, effective on June 30 of this year. While he still has his position, he joined Leo in-studio to give updates on the film industry in Louisiana.

Robert Fenet

Baton Rouge Attorney Robert Fenet with Leo Honeycutt; gave insight into economic development oil and gas and the development of Port Cameron. He is originally a native of Lake Charles and studied law at Notre Dame Law School. 

Gifford Briggs

Gifford Briggs oversees lobbying and governmental affairs for the Louisiana Oil and Gas Association; he also manages the social media, video production and website design for the LOGA.

Bryce G. Hoffman is an author, strategic advisor, speaker and management consultant. Hoffman's recently published book is, Red Teaming: How Your Business Can Conquer the Competition by Challenging the Everything. He is also the author of a four other published books.

Mark Balllard of the Advocate joined Jim as the second guest to discuss the Black Caucus walking out of the House, lawmakers upholding the death penalty, the House Committee passing a gas tax and more.

Hour Two

Melissa Flournoy and Troy Hebert

Melissa Flournoy and Louisiana politician Troy Hebert, gave their take on the latest involving President Donald Trump. Flournoy is the former Director of Planned Parenthood Gulf Cost and Hebert is the former Commissioner of the Louisiana Office of Alcohol and Tobacco Control.

Jim Donelon

Insurance Commissioner Jim Donelon joins Jim in studio to prep homeowners for the upcoming Hurricane Season. Donelon goes over a checklist to make sure Louisianians are up to date with their insurance before bad weather hits. 

Hour 2:

David Madden

David Madden joins Jim to discuss the removal of Confederate monuments in New Orleans. Madden founded the United States Civil War Center at LSU in 1993. Madden is also an author and many of his novels delve into Civil War history.

Simon Sebag Montefiore 

Simon Sebag Montefiore is an award-winning British author, historian and tv presenter ; he discussed his latest book titled, The Romanovs. Simon was born in London and currently lives there with his wife and children.

Joyce Burges

Former Councilwoman of Baker, Joyce Burges, came on the air to discuss the dedication to the park in Baker to be named after Martin Luther King Jr. 

Hour Two

Herman Brister

McKinley High School principal Herman Brister came on the show to comment on the tragic death of Bryant Lee, a senior and honor student at McKinley. Bryant Lee was shot in the head and killed on Saturday and would have graduated on Wednesday with a 3.5 GPA. 

Ben Bagert 

Lawyer Ben Bagert spoke on a letter to the editor that he wrote to the New York Times, defending the preservation PGT Beauregard's monument in NOLA. The letter to the editor was not printed in the NYT but was printed in The Advocate.
