Hour One

Ronald Rael

Ronald Rael is an Associate Professor of Architecture at the University of California, Berkley. He came on the show to discuss his book, Borderwall as Architecture: a Manifesto for the US-Mexico Boundary. Rael is also the author of another book titled, Earth Architecture. 

Peter Harrington

Peter Harrington will represent the round table in the Civil War today, May 15th and will discussed his role with Jim. The Round Table is bi-partisan and represents the north and the south.

Paul Arrigo

Paul Arrigo is President and CEO of Visit Baton Rouge; he came on the show to discuss tourism in Baton Rouge. Arrigo is a native of New Orleans and has over 40 years of experience in hospitality marketing. He joined Visit Baton Rouge in 1997 and became President and CEO in 2002.

Steve Carter

Steve Carter is a Republican member of the Louisiana House of Representatives and former LSU tennis coach. He came on the show to discuss the legislature, counsel on aging, gas tax, TOPS and more.

 

Deborah Newmyer

Author Deborah Newmyer came on the air to talk about her new book, MOMS FOR HIRE: 8 Steps to Kickstart Your Next Career. She is also a TV and Film producer has made  a career out of scouting and developing movies like, Jurassic Park, The Color Purple and more.

Gus Weill

Gus Weill is a former PR specialist from Lafayette, La and now resides in Baton Rouge. He is also an author and poet who attended LSU; he graduated with a degree in journalism. He came on the show to talk about Trump and the firing of James Comey.

James Robenalt

James Robenalt is a lawyer and author in Cleveland and originally from Lima, Ohio. He will be discussing comparisons between Watergate and Trump.

Mark Ballard of the Advocate joins Jim for his weekly update of what's going on during the legislative session. Ballard discusses the budget, the nursing home industry, and TOPS. 

Chris Pegula

Author Chris Pegula chats with Jim about his latest book, Diaper Dude.

Former Metro Councilman Darrell Glasper joins Jim in studio to discuss President Donald Trump firing James Comey. Glasper also comments on what's going on in the Metro Council and the Alton Sterling case.  

05/10 Wednesday: John Heubusch, Dan Moldea, Thomas Martin, Kevin Gutzman

Hour 1: 

John Heubusch

Executive Director of the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute, John Heubusch, joins the show to discuss President Donald Trump's low approval rating and the beloved President Ronald Reagan's 35% approval rating mid-way through his first term. He also comments on what Trump is and should be borrowing from Reagan's playbook. 

Dan Moldea

Author and investigative journalist, Dan Moldea, chats with Jim about President Donald Trump. Moldea comments on Trump firing FBI Director James Comey and Comey's investigation into Hillary Clinton. 

Hour 2:

Thomas Martin

President of Martin Investigative Services, Thomas Martin, also chats with Jim about President Trump firing FBI Director James Comey. Martin discusses what this means to the FBi and ongoing investigations. Martin is a former agent with the Federal Department of Justice. 

Kevin Gutzman

Chairman in the Department of History at Western Connecticut State University, Kevin Gutzman, joins the conversation to chime in about Trump firing Comey. He comments on the comparisons to the Watergate scandal with President Richard Nixon. 

05/09 Tuesday: Tasha Eurich, Fred Rosenfeld and Richard Marksbury

Tasha Eurich is a workplace psychologist, speaker, author, and principal of The Eurich Group. She helps organizations succeed by improving there leadership and teams. She came on the show to promote her new book, Inshight: Why We Are Not as Self-Aware as We Think, and How Seeing Ourselves Clearly Helps Us Succeed at Work and Life. 

Fred Rosenfeld

Fred Rosenfeld is the former president of the old school basketball team, The New Orleans Jazz. The New Orleans Jazz became the 18th member of the NBA in 1974; the team eventually moved to Salt Lake City after 5 years in NOLA. The name "Jazz" was kept for the team in Utah.

Former Tulane University professor, Richard Marksbury, returned to discuss his take on the removal the confederate statues in New Orleans.

Peggy Sweeney-McDonald, the author of Meanwhile, Back at Cafe Du Monde, joins the show to promote the seventh anniversary of the book with a celebration being held at the 3rd LSU Museum of Art, on Wednesday, May, 10th at 6:30 pm.

Rosalyn Baldwin

7-year-old Rosalyn Baldwin joins the show to talk with Jim about her hugs for police officers.  Baldwin aims to hug police in as many states as possible.  Rosalyn is joined by her father, Errik, and her mother, Angie. Her parents describe their upcoming tour to states where Rosalyn will hug more officers.

Fiona Lewis

Fiona Lewis joins the show to describe her memoir, Mistakes Were Made.  She describes the French countryside, reflects on her glamorous youth across London and Paris in the ’60s, Hollywood in the ’70s, and the important, sometimes disastrous, choices she made along the way.
