Hour 1: 

Richard Lipsey

Chairman of Lipsey's Firearms, Richard Lipsey, joins Jim in studio to talk about gun laws in Louisiana. Lipsey mentions gun safety programs, as well as, enforcing our gun laws. He discusses the use of modern assault rifles. Lipsey also serves on the Board of Regents.

Hour 2: 

Scott Wilfong and Dayne Sherman

Political Consultants, Republican Scott Wilfong and Democrat Dayne Sherman, join the conversation to talk about the November presidential election. Sherman and Wilfong discuss the Republican National Convention, Trump's speech, and Ted Cruz refusing to endorse Trump.

Jack Estes

Decorated war hero, Jack Estes, joins the conversation to discuss military veterans returning home and killing themselves. Estes says many veterans suffer from PTSD and about 20 are committing suicide everyday. He is the founder of the Fallen Warriors Foundation and author of A Soldier's Son. Estes comments on the two military veterans who killed police officers in Dallas and Baton Rouge. He served in the Marine Corps.

Former ATC commissioner and lawmaker Troy Hebert chats with Jim about his campaign as an independent for the US Senate seat being vacated by David Vitter.

Journalist Jules Witcover joins the conversation to talk about the presidential election and Ted Cruz getting booed off the stage at the Republican National Convention.

Hour 1:

Adam Winkler

UCLA Law Professor Adam Winkler joins the show to discuss gun laws in the country. Winkler comments on a "no buy" list when it comes to purchasing guns. He is not in favor of an assault weapon ban.

Today is the first day of qualifying in Louisiana and Congressman Charles Boustany joins the conversation to discuss his campaign for US Senate. He also comments on the tragic events the state has recently seen. 

Moses Evans

Justice of the Peace Moses Evans joins Jim in studio to talk about Sunday's ambush on police, the shooting of Alton Sterling, and his time as a Baton Rouge Police Officer. 

07/19 Tuesday: Russel Honore, Ray Strother

Hour 1: 

General Russel Honore

Lt. General Russel Honore, US Army (Ret) and current leader of the Green Army talks with Jim in studio about the recent ambush on police in Baton Rouge. Honore also discusses the death of Alton Sterling, Philando Castile, the attack on police in Dallas, as well as, the terror attack in Nice, France. 

Honore comments on the struggles men and women face after returning home from the military. 

Hour 2:

Raymond Strother

Political consultant Ray Strother joins Jim to discuss what's going on at the Republican National Convention and the overall presidential election. Strother comments on Melania Trump's speech at the RNC which sounded similar to Michelle Obama's speech at the DNC in 2008.

Tara Wicker

Councilwoman Tara Wicker is a native of Baton Rouge.  Wicker joins the show to discuss the recent killing of three Baton Rouge officers Sunday, July 17.

Chris Thomas King

Chris Thomas King is a Grammy award winning New Orleans musician and actor. He is originally from Baton Rouge and joins the show to talk about his newest music ventures and the tragedies in his hometown. He invites the city to come and listen to him at the St. James Episcopal Church on Wednesday night at 7 p.m.

 

HOUR TWO

Pat Smith

Representative Patricia Smith talks with Jim about the recent shootings in Baton Rouge. Smith expresses the Capitol city's need for an open discussion about racial profiling.

David St. Romain

Musical artist David St. Romain is a native of Alexandria, Louisiana who expresses his grief for his friend, Officer Brad Garafola who lost his life Sunday in Baton Rouge.

Roger Villere

Roger Villere is Chairman of the Louisiana Republican Party.  He is attending the Republican Convention in Cleveland this week but expresses the concern for the Capital city and the effects of the shootings on the convention.
