Rev. Donald Hunter has previously served 25 years in the state government.  He joins Jim on the show to talk about The Black Family Initiative.  The purpose of this organization is to strengthen the family in all areas of relationships such as marital, parental and spousal by using a multi-systemic approach to create a Intervention unit that will become an asset to society.

 Lewis Crary of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals urges LSU to end the tradition of keeping a live tiger on campus and carting the tiger around Tiger Stadium during football games. Crary joins Jim to testify on why Mike should be left in the wild.

Stephen Moore

Stephen Moore focuses on advancing public policies that increase the rate of economic growth in the United States.  He discusses Donald Trump's policies regarding fossil fuels from an economic point of view.

The president of Public Affairs Research Council opens up the show with Jim and discusses the session.  Scott touches on the statement made by Jefferson Parish Sheriff Newell Normand who called House Bill 1148 “bulls***” and accused lawmakers of political pandering.

Dr. Sean Illing is a writer and blogger in Baton Rouge.  Illing is on the show with Jim to comment on Hillary Clinton and her use of a personal server in a report by the Inspector General.

Jason DeCuir serves as Chief of Staff and Assistant Secretary for Legal Affairs with the Louisiana Department of Revenue (LDR). DeCuir supervises the Litigation and Policy Services divisions, and the development of processes to enhance the state’s ability to fairly and efficiently collect revenues and administer the state’s tax laws.  Decuir addresses taxes, tax reform and the session.

Dr. Brooks is the Chairman of Dept. of Hematology/Oncology at Ochsner Medical Center.  He discusses with Neal the new Cancer Drug, Keytruda. Dr. Brooks talks about the side effects and costs of this new treatment.

Lt. Commander Mansour is the Commander of Gulfstream 4 SP High Altitude.  He specializes in environmental intelligence, where sometimes he may carry out 8 hour missions. Mansour explains the circumstances and characteristics of storms, along with some of his experiences as a hurricane hunter. 

Ginger Guttner

Ginger Guttner is the Director of PR for the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine. LSU's Mike the Tiger has been diagnosed with spindle cell sarcoma, which could be the first ever diagnosis of the condition in a tiger. Guttner gives us an update on Mike's condition and some of the logistics for moving a 400 lb. tiger to Baton Rouge’s Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center where he will be treated.

Raymond Jetson

Representative Jetson starts off the show by discussing the obstacles young African American males face in Baton Rouge specifically.  Jetson introduces the formation of the Urban Congress on African-American Males. The cross-generational congress will discuss ways to address problems facing young black men, such as failure to graduate high school, going to jail and inability to get a job.

Ariel Waldman

Ariel is the founder of Spacehack.org, a directory of ways to participate in space exploration, and the global director of Science Hack Day, a 20-countries-and-growing grassroots endeavor to make things with science. She is the author of What’s It Like in Space?: Stories from Astronauts Who’ve Been There and tells some interesting stories from her book.

Jim Pittman

Jim Pittman is the spokesman for the Smoking Cessation Trust.  SCT is organized as a Low Profit Limited Liability company, an L3C, under Louisiana Law.  The program focuses on making significant positive contributions to encourage and expand clinician participation in smoking cessation counseling, encouraging clinicians to consistently counsel every patient who smokes, regardless of whether the patient is ready to quit at this time, and to identify and refer potential Class Members to SCT.

As the former manager of Sugar's Strip Club, Lewis comments on the remarks made by Rep. Kenny Havard.  Jim feels that the comments were taken too personal and Havard should not apologize.
