Deborah Copaken

Author Deborah Copaken joins Jim as his first guest to chat about her latest work.

Journalist John Camp joins Jim and shifts the conversation to talk about an usual anniversary. Camp discusses 30 years ago when Jimmy Swaggart was caught by a fellow evangelist in the company of a hooker at a seedy rent by the hour motel in the New Orleans suburbs.

Mike Bertaut 

Mike Bertaut is a healthcare economist from Blue Cross Blue Shield. Bertaut joins Jim in studio to discuss the small health care plan made in Congress with bi-partisan support. The plan would continue with cost sharing payments to health insurance providers. 

Peter Finney Jr. 

Peter Finney Jr. joins the conversation to discuss his late father, Peter Finney Sr. on what would be his 90th birthday. Finney Sr. was a well known Louisiana sportswriter.

Mark Calvit

Executive Director of Southside Gardens Senior Living Community Mark Calvit joins Jim in studio as an LSU Superfan. Calvit comments on the 10th anniversary of the 2007 National Championship team and how the squad will be honored in Tiger Stadium on Saturday night along with former coach Les Miles. He also predicts the Tigers' performance against Auburn.

Tom Gagliano

Author of Don't Put Your Crap in Your Kid's Diaper: The Clean Up Cost Can Last a Lifetime, Thomas Gagliano joins the conversation. Gagliano talks about the allegations of sexual harassment against film producer, Harvey Weinstein.  

Gene Reynolds 

Minden Representative and Chairman of the House Democratic Caucus Gene Reynolds chats with Jim about the state's budget woes. Reynolds discusses this week's legislative retreat and the suggestions made on how to fix Louisiana's budget troubles.

Sharpe was arrested last night in connection to the drive-by shootings of four men in East Baton Rouge and East Feliciana Parishes. 

Mark Ballard

Mark Ballard with the Advocate chats with Jim about this Saturday's election. He comments on turnout and what Louisiana residents can expect to see on their ballots. Ballard also discusses the arrest of 10 LSU fraternity members in connection with the death of Maxwell Gruver last month.

Judyth Vary Baker

Author of Me and Lee: How I came to know, love and lose Lee Harvey Oswald, Judyth Vary Baker, chats with Jim about her book on her relationship with Lee Harvey Oswald. Baker claims she was Oswald's lover.

The staff of Williamsburg Senior Living Community joins Jim in studio to discuss their day to day operations.  Williamsburg is located in Baton Rouge and has 163 apartments for seniors. President Ron Cranford talks about founding the facility 30 years ago. General Manager Andrew Yorgason also comments on community support and activities.

Dr. Eric Ravussin

Dr. Eric Ravussin with LSU's Pennington Biomedical Research Center joins Jim on World Obesity Day. Ravussin discusses his research with obesity and diabetes and the causes behind this growing problem. 

Hour 2:

Roy Fletcher

Republican political consultant and attorney Roy Fletcher comes in studio with Jim to discuss Louisiana's upcoming election this Saturday. Fletcher also comments on the arrest of 10 members of LSU's Phi Delta Theta Fraternity in connection to the death of a pledge, Max Gruver, last month. All 10 are charged with hazing and one faces the additional charge of negligent homicide.
