George Wallace is the former controversial Governor of Alabama; Wallace infamously gave a speech, supporting the continued segregation of the University of Alabama. he served as governor for 16 years and then his wife for 4 years. Wallace died on September 13, 1998.

Mark Ballard returns to the Jim Engster Show to comment more on the special session and the future of Louisiana.

Dr. Ellen Moyer is a registered professional engineer with a BA in anthropology, an MS in environmental engineering, and a PhD in civil engineering. She has more than 30 years of environmental engineering experience. She spoke on Donald Trump's decision to pull the US out of the Paris Agreement.

The two former State Senators join the show to talk about the VP debate airing October 4. Hebert is the former Commissioner of the Louisiana Office of Alcohol and Tobacco Control and was elected for three terms as Democrat to the Louisiana House of Representatives. Guarisco served as a Democratic State Senator from 1976-1988.
