Republican candidate for State Treasurer John Schroder chats with Jim about the upcoming election. Schroder is up against Democrat Derrick Edwards in the runoff election.

Steve Carter is a former LSU tennis coach and now serves a Republican state representative for district 68 in Baton Rouge. Carter joined are guest host Fred Rosenfeld and talked about the gas tax, the legislator and more.

Ronnie Kole is a legendary New Orleans-based Jazz Pianist, originally born in Chicago. Kole is has been admired by important people in the industry and even trained Harry Connick Jr. Kole was the fifth person to be inducted into the New Orleans Musical Legends Park in 2008.

Lance Harris

Lance Harris id from Alexandria and is the Chairman of the Republican Caucus. Harris is the Republican leader for District 25 and represents Rapides Parish. He commented more about the proposed gas tax in Louisiana. 

 

John Digiulio and Mike Johnson

John Digulio and Mike Johnson from Digiulio Brothers Italian Cafe were on air to talk about the history of the restaurant and what gave it its staying power.

Skip Bertman

Former LSU baseball coach and athletic director, Skip Bertman, chats with Leo about the Tiger's and the College World Series. Leo and Skip also comment on the book, Skip Bertman: How to Win Again and Again, written by Leo.

Baton Rouge Representative Steve Carter joins the conversation to comment on his measure to increase the state's gasoline tax and the bill's failure to pass in the legislature.

Carter chats with Leo about the purchasing of The Bluffs Golf Resort in St. Francisville. Carter hopes to attract PGA Golf back to one of Arnold Palmer's finest courses. 

Jim Brown

Former Secretary of State Jim Brown joins Leo in studio to discuss the election system in Louisiana. Brown comments on how to get the system away from being so heavily influenced by monied interests.

James Robenalt is a lawyer and author in Cleveland and originally from Lima, Ohio. He will be discussing comparisons between Watergate and Trump.

The Bayou State could lose $3.6 billion in homes, businesses, and infrastructure over the next 50 years if Louisiana does not take action to stop the massive coastal land loss problem. That’s according to a study by the LSU Economics and Policy Research Group. Researcher Stephen Barnes says they studied the direct impact of land loss in different areas of the state.

Rep. Steve Carter

Republican State Representative Steve Carter joins the show to talk about budget funding. Carter explains the desperate need to spend money on roads for easier transportation and commerce.

Elbert Guillory

Former state lawmaker Elbert Guillory has been chosen by the Louisiana Republican Party to lead an outreach effort to bring more minorities to the GOP. Guillory became the first black Republican state senator in 2013 when he switched from the Democratic Party. He says his hope is to convince African-American voters the Republican Party has their interest in mind.
