Michael Korda

Former editor-in-chief of Simon & Schuster and author of Alone: Britain, Churchill, and Dunkirk: Defeat Into Victory, Michael Korda, chats with Jim about the Battle of Dunkirk. Korda comments what is was like to be a child in London during WWII. 

Hour 2: 

Stephen Waguespack

President and CEO of the Louisiana Association of Business and Industry Stephen Waguespack joins Jim in studio. Waguespack discusses minimum wage, which is $7.25 an hour in Louisiana, and equal pay.

HOUR ONE: 

Jason Redmond 

Jason Redmond is a Louisiana political consultant and foremost expert on Star Wars.  Redmond was the Deputy Treasurer for 15 years.  He comments on the premiere of the latest addition to the Star Wars saga, The Force Awakens.  "The kind of fandom has always been a part of my life," Redmond says. 

John Hunt

Paige Hargrove

Dr. John Hunt is the Medical Director for LA Emergency Response Network.  Paige Hargrove is the Executive Director.  They discuss the trauma care system in Louisiana: the difference and amount of level 1 and level 2 response centers.  Hunt and Hargrove also remark on the readiness of these centers to mass shootings.  

HOUR TWO: 

Stephen Waguespack

Stephen Waguespack is the President of LABI.  Waguespack discusses the upcoming session, the transition from Bobby Jindal to John Bel Edwards, and tax policy.  He also comments on unemployment and percapita income in Louisiana.    

Charles Boustany

Congressman Charles W. Boustany Jr., M.D., a cardiovascular surgeon with more than 30 years of clinical experience, was first elected to Congress in 2004.  Boustany represents Louisiana’s Third Congressional District, covering South Louisiana.  Boustany has championed health care reform, international trade, tax reform, and sound energy policy focused on building a comprehensive vision providing solutions for all Americans.
