Contributing writer for the New York Times Brittany Bronson discusses the Las Vegas mass shooting. Bronson currently lives in Las Vegas and is a casino waitress when she isn't writing.

Jake Welch

Owner of All American Gunsmithing, Jake Welch, joins the conversation on the tragic Las Vegas shooting. Welch discusses gun control policies and if they would be effective for making a safer United States.

Ramsey Dardar

Former LSU football player Ramsey Dardar was on air after being in jail for the past 19 years. Dardar talked about his comeback into society following his release and his tenure in jail. Prior to going to jail he played for the Cardinals for one year and was a star at LSU.  He was released a few days ago.

 

Mary Stein

Mary Stein from the East Baton Rouge Parish Library talked more about events being hosted by the library. The EBR Parish Library will host "Marche de Galvez” at Galvez Plaza from 2 until 4 p.m. Sunday, September 24. The Human Jukebox rom Southern University will be featured at the event.

Jan Moller is the director of the Louisiana Budget Project and spent the hour talking about healthcare in Louisiana.

Pollster Bernie Pinsonat joins Jim in studio to discuss Louisiana's legislative leaders and politics in the South. Pinsonat also comments on the Congressional races in Georgia and South Carolina.

LCTA Workers' Compensation COO Troy Prevot and East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner Dr. Beau Clark chat with Jim about the opioid epidemic in our state. Attorney and author Bill Grimley joined the show in-studio and discussed his take on Attorney General Jeff Sessions. He is the author of two books: The Benefactor and Perception. Grimley was born in Mississippi and found himself in Baton Rouge for college and law school at Louisiana State University.

Ashlee Vance

Ashlee Vance is a American business columnist, originally born in South Africa in 1977. He started writing for the New York Times in 2008 and eventually the Bloomberg Business week in 2011.

F. King Alexander is the president and chancellor of Louisiana State University and stopped by to give us updates about what is happening on campus. He was previously the president of two other universities: California State University, Long Beach and Murray State University.

Mark Ballard of the Advocate joins the show to give updates on affairs going on in the state of Louisiana. Ballard is the editor of the Capitol News Bureau.

Mary Stein

Mary Stein is the Assistant Director, Administrative Services at the East Baton Rouge Parish Library. She joined the show to discuss Baton Rouge's bicentennial and its connection to Mark Twain.

Gus Weill

 

Political consultant and former PR specialist Gus Weill joined the show to discuss the presidency of Donald Trump. He originates from Lafayette, Louisiana and now resides in New York City.

Greg Lafleur

Greg Lafleur is running for Mayor-President. Lafleur was also a football player for LSU. He joins the show to talk about football at LSU and the issues that he feels Baton Rouge should focus on the most.

 Gissel is running for Mayor of Baton Rouge. He joins the show to explain that running as an independent will help people of the community to move past party affiliations.

George Sells

Former WAFB anchorman George Sells joins the show to vent about numerous topics with Jim.  Sells talks football, community and politics.
