Author Deborah Copaken joins Jim as his first guest to chat about her latest work.

Journalist John Camp joins Jim and shifts the conversation to talk about an usual anniversary. Camp discusses 30 years ago when Jimmy Swaggart was caught by a fellow evangelist in the company of a hooker at a seedy rent by the hour motel in the New Orleans suburbs.

Mike Bertaut 

Mike Bertaut is a healthcare economist from Blue Cross Blue Shield. Bertaut joins Jim in studio to discuss the small health care plan made in Congress with bi-partisan support. The plan would continue with cost sharing payments to health insurance providers. 

Peter Finney Jr. 

Peter Finney Jr. joins the conversation to discuss his late father, Peter Finney Sr. on what would be his 90th birthday. Finney Sr. was a well known Louisiana sportswriter.

Executive Director of Student Leadership for the East Baton Rouge Parish School System, John McCann, joins Jim in studio to talk about LSU football and the Tigers' loss to Troy on Saturday. McCann played football for LSU and was the McNeese State University coach. 

Denny McLain

Denny McLain, former pitcher for the Detroit Lions, chats with Jim about the tragedy in Las Vegas. McLain was an organist who performed in Las Vegas.

John B. Camp discusses his long career in journalism and his rise to prominence as Senior Investigative Correspondent for CNN. Camp talks about the mass shooting in Las Vegas last night and about Barry Seal and the new movie about his life, American Made

Gabrielle Stone

Gabrielle Stone is an actress born and raised in Los Angeles; she  is the daughter of actor Christopher Stone and actress Dee Wallace. She is the recipient of  two Best Actress Awards in Best Film Short for  "It Happened Again Last Night" and was on the show to discuss her career. 

Dr. David Palma

Dr. David Palma is a radiation oncologist and cancer researcher and focuses on the treatment of lung, head and neck, and metastatic cancers. He is the author of Taking Charge of Cancer: What You Need to Know to Get the Best Treatment.

John B. Camp

 

John B. Camp will discuss  long career in journalism and his rise to prominence as Senior Investigative Correspondent for CNN. He is responsible for exposing the misconduct of Governors, Congressmen and many others during the span of his long career.

Susan Senator

Senator is an author and joins the show to promote her book, Autism Adulthood.  She tells the story of her eldest son, Nat who has autism and how his life has inspired and changed her own.

Investigative reporter Camp, author of The Derelict Gunslinger blog, talks about Bill Clinton's meeting with the Attorney General.  Camp explains the liabilities associated with the rumors.

Clarke Cadzow

Owner of Highland Coffees, Clark Cadzow joins the show to remember his regular customer, Maryland Batiste.  Batiste, age 47, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at Our Lady of the Lake in Baton Rouge. He was well-known around LSU's campus especially at Cadzow's coffee shop.

Phil Oakley

Former WBRZ News Director Phil Oakley joins the show to comment about how journalism and shifted since he first go into the business. He is currently living in California. 

Oakley has written two novels, the second will be released in the next few months. His book currently on the market is titled "Telegram."
