Clay Higgins

Congressman Clay Higgins is a representative for Louisiana's 3rd congressional district. Clay Higgins spoke on President Donald Trump, his first 5 months in the House and Radical Islam. Higgins won in the runoff election on December 10, 2016 and beat his opponent, Scott Angelle. 

Rudy Macklin

Rudy Macklin is a former 4 years starter for LSU basketball and is the current director for the Governor's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports. Macklin discussed obesity in the United States and in Louisiana.

Mike Bertaut

Mike Bertaut is a healthcare economist from Blue Cross Blue Shield. Bertaut came on the air to talk more on the fate of Obamacare in Louisiana. He approximately 25 years of analytical experience in healthcare.

The President of the Louisiana Community & Technical College System joins the show after testifying before congress on educational job/ training programs.  Sullivan talks about the costs of funding these programs and different education opportunities in Louisiana.

Dr. Jay Brooks

Dr. Brooks is the Chairman of Dept. of Hematology/Oncology at Ochsner Medical Center.  He discusses with Neal the new Cancer Drug, Keytruda. Dr. Brooks talks about the side effects and costs of this new treatment.

Clay Higgins

Clay Higgins, the man popularly known as the ‘Cajun John Wayne', has recently announced that he is running for Congress.  Higgins discusses his reasoning for running and why he feels he needs to answer to "the will of the people."

Lt. Commander Jason Mansour

Lt. Commander Mansour is the Commander of Gulfstream 4 SP High Altitude.  He specializes in environmental intelligence, where sometimes he may carry out 8 hour missions. Mansour explains the circumstances and characteristics of storms, along with some of his experiences as a hurricane hunter. 

Ginger Guttner

Ginger Guttner is the Director of PR for the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine. LSU's Mike the Tiger has been diagnosed with spindle cell sarcoma, which could be the first ever diagnosis of the condition in a tiger. Guttner gives us an update on Mike's condition and some of the logistics for moving a 400 lb. tiger to Baton Rouge’s Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center where he will be treated.

George Morris of The Advocate has a blog about WWII. The blog reflects on history's greatest conflict. Morris tells Jim about the stories of soldiers, sailors, Marines, airmen and civilians, people he has met as a reporter for Louisiana's largest daily newspaper, The Advocate.

After resigning from his position, Former Captain Higgins has released a new video.  Higgins joins Jim on the show to address rumors of running for a office in Louisiana politics.

Maria Toorpakai

Maria Toorpakai grew up in Waziristan, controlled by the Taliban,  and it is still considered one of the most dangerous places on earth.  It is a place where women don't have the right to leave their home unaccompanied. It's no place for a young girl to play outside.  Maria tells the story of how she disguised herself as a boy to hide from the Taliban so she could play squash.  Her book, "A Different Kind of Daughter", released today May 3.
