Hour 1:

Jr. Shelton

Central Mayor Jr. Shelton joins Jim to discuss the historic flooding in parts of southern Louisiana is closing roads and flooding homes.  Shelton reports no fatalities in his area yet but warns residents to be cautious when out on the road and to obey all signs. 

Tattoo Talk

Tattoo enthusiast and reporter with Louisiana Radio Network Halen Doughty joins Jim to talk tattoos. Doughty is 23-years-old and has 33 tattoos. She says she got her first tattoo at age 17. 

Olympic Update

Former LSU gymnast Susan Jackson is in studio to give an update on what is going on at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio.

Donald Trump's Louisiana Campaign Chairman Eric Skrmetta chats with Jim to discuss Trump's jokes and personality. Skrmetta discusses Trump's personality and how he is misunderstood by many. 

Flash Flood Update

State Climatologist Barry Keim gives an update on the flash floods plaguing the majority of southern Louisiana.

HOUR ONE

State Climatologist Dr. Barry Keim

We begin our show with the state climatologist who gives an update on the flooding and weather conditions in the state of Louisiana.

Mark Ballard of the Advocate talks to Jim about his opinions on the results of the special session.

Dr. Kurt Corbello

Dr. Corbello is a political science professor at SELU.  Corbello describes political decisions and behavior of Louisiana as a people and economy.

HOUR TWO

Robert Travis Scott

As the president of Public Affairs Research,  Robert Travis Scott explains his views on the result of the Legislative session and how he thinks it will effect the state of Louisiana.

Manuel Martinez

Manuel Martinez is on the show to talk about fashion.  He feels that the world has become "too casual."  Martinez suggests that men should dress for the occasion at hand and mentions the correlation between dressing better and job performance.

10/23 Friday: Gubernatorial Candidate John Bel Edwards, Lt. Governor Candidates Kip Holden and Billy Nungesser, Gubernatorial Election, and Hurricane Patricia

HOUR ONE: 

Mark Ballard

Mark Ballard is the Editor of The Advocate Capitol news bureau covering Louisiana government and politics.  He discusses the Gubernatorial election tomorrow and the possibility of a runoff.  Ballard also says that voter turnout is expected to be about 50%. 

John Bel Edwards

John Bel Edwards is the only Gubernatorial Candidate who is a Democrat.  He shares his campaign message and plans for Louisiana.  Edwards says, "I can think of 1000 reasons not to vote for David Vitter before I get to his 'serious sin.'" Voting is tomorrow.  

Kip Holden

Kip Holden is the Mayor of Baton Rouge and a candidate for Lieutenant Governor.  He discusses his plan for Louisiana and how he would improve tourism if elected.

Ted James

Edward Ted James is a personal injury and criminal defense attorney.  He is currently a Louisiana State Representative for District 101.  He comments on the BESE election, endorsing Carolyn Hill. 

HOUR TWO: 

Billy Nungesser

Billy Nungesser is the President of Plaquemines Parish.  He is also a candidate for Lieutenant Governor.  He shares his plans for Louisiana if elected and why he is a qualified candidate. 

Barry Keim 

Barry Keim is a Professor and Louisiana State Climatologist.  He gives news on Hurricane Patricia.  Dr. Keim says this storm will be worse than the likes of Hurricanes Andrew, Camille, or Katrina. 

Gus Weill
