Gerard Landry is the Mayor of Denham Springs; he was on air with Jim to talk about the city's road to recovery, one year after the flood. Landry was raised in Baton Rouge and graduate from LSU and is an U.S. Army Veteran.

 

Jason Kander

Jason Kander is a lawyer and a politician. He is the former Secretary of State in Missouri and the President of Let America Vote. Kander is a member of the Democratic Party and narrowly lost a race for the Seante in the red state of Missouri. 

Hour Two

Carolyn Hill and Ali Akbar

Carolyn Hill is the director of the Democratic Party in EBR Parish and Ali Akbar is the Chairman of the Louisiana Young Republican Federation. They debated on opposite sides of the political spectrum about what's going on our world today.

Ralph Abraham

Congressman Ralph Abraham will be on air to talk about President Trump's transgender ban in the military. He is an American physician and former veterinarian from Mangham, Louisiana. He won the election as a Republican to represent Louisiana's 5th congressional district.

 

Arthur Reed

Arthur Reed is coming on the show to address a comment he made about the police shooting that happened last summer and how the shooting brought "justice" to Alton Sterling.

Bill Bryan

Bill Bryan was here to discus the Italian Festival happening in Baton Rouge. The festival is held at Belle of Baton Rouge Atrium on July 30, 2017 from 11 to 5 pm. 

Hour Two

Ali Akbar and Susan Nelson

The second hour is joined Ali Akbar and Susan Nelson. They will be debating on opposite sides about President Trump's transgender ban.

Jared Sexton is an assistant professor at Georgia Southern University; he was here to discuss multiple topics including, how Trump is able to manipulate the media. 

Gary Stewart

Gary Stewart came on as a guest to talk about his book The Most Dangerous Animal of Them All: Searching For My Father and Finding the Zodiac Killer. Stewart lives here in Baton Rouge and says he is the son of the infamous Zodiac Killer. 

Hour Two 

Jan Moller and Ali Akbar 

Jan Moller is the director of the Louisiana Budget Project and Ali Akbar is a Republican political consultant. The two men discussed Trump's healthcare plan from opposite sides of the political spectrum.

Executive Director of Volunteers in Public Schools, Judy Bethly, chats with Jim about VIPS. Bethly discusses how the organization has grown over the years and the expansion of many important programs to help public school students. She has been with VIPS for 13 years. 

Ali Akbar

Republican Political Consultant Ali Akbar joins the conversation to discuss Vice President Pence's visit to Port Allen. Akbar comments on President Trump's 37% approval rating, his tax returns, and Russia.
