Amani AL-Khatahtbeh is young Muslim women and author of 'Muslim Girl: A Coming of Age,' where she discusses her experience as a Muslim woman post 9/11. She is the founder and editor-in-chief and founder of muslimgirl.com 

Karl Roider

 

Roider is a former history professor at Louisiana State University and dropped to give his input on last night's debate and the 2016 race to the presidency. He first joined LSU's staff in 1968.

Shaun Assael

Shaun Assael is an author and investigative journalist. He is a senior writer for ESPN the magazine. He has authored many books but called-in to discuss his book-- 'The Murder of Sonny Liston: Las Vegas, Heroin, and Heavyweights'

Abhay Patel

Republican candidate Abhay Patel announced his withdrawal from the 2016 Louisiana Senate Race and endorsed Republican Charles Boustany. Patel joined the show to speak on his decision.

 Gus Weill

 

 

  

The former public relations specialist and former writer for the LSU Daily Reveille joined Jim to talk about the Reveille's decision to turn into a weekly publication. Weill is originally from Lafayette and now resides in New York City.

HOUR ONE

Abhay Patel

Abhay Patel is running for the Senate.  A graduate of Louisiana State University, Patel has previously worked in economics and finance in the state of New York.  For the last few years he has worked in New Orleans. This is his first time running for office.

Johnny Palazzotto

Palazzotto is co-founder of Baton Rouge Blues Foundation,Inc. He currently produces the Slim Harpo Music Awards and presents Music in the Schools throughout Louisiana. Palazzotto joins Jim on the show a week before the Slim Harpo Award Show that will be held at The Varsity Theater in Baton Rouge.

HOUR TWO

LTG Russel Honore

LT. General Russel L. Honoré, US Army (Ret),  joins Jim on the show to talk about the Orlando shooting and the child who was killed by an alligator in DisneyWorld.  Honore talks gun control and criticizes the procedures of investigating suspect criminals in reference to the Orlando incident.

Aaron Blackledge

 In over three decades of operation the Baton Rouge Crisis Intervention Center, Inc. has effectively and positively touched the lives of tens of thousands of people and their neighbors in surrounding communities. Aaron Blackledge is the Exec. Director and he joins the show to talk about the services provided amid the traumatic events that have happened over the week.
